four year wedding anniversary

joe and i are celebrating our four year wedding anniversary today. it's hard to believe that we've only been married four years when i feel like we've been together our whole lives. our love story is something out of hollywood, much like allie and noah's story in the notebook. it has been a blissful four years and i am so thankful to be able to spend the rest of my life with him.

in our anniversary approaching, i realized i had never shared our wedding photos before. mostly because we were incredibly let down by our photographer, but i also felt uninspired by the editing style. recently i purchased a lightroom preset from a mama friend of mine's etsy shop and thought i would toy around with editing our wedding photos with the preset; i fell in love with them. and now i feel inspired enough to actually share them with you all. i'm also sharing a few special moments from our rehearsal.

gifting my girls with their bridesmaid tanks i made for them to wear the morning of the wedding while getting ready.

my daddy walking me down the aisle

our kiss, both at rehearsal and the wedding, was incredible

the girls and i in the tanks i made. the method for this was very simple: place a piece of cardboard between front and back layer of tank, take a clorox bleach pen and carefully spell out or draw on desired word or desgin, let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water in sink and wash.

reception setup

joe's grandma happily made us a naked wedding cake and then several family members contributed homemade desserts for our dessert bar (which our photographer didn't get any photos of)

our first dance to coldplay's "sparks" while everyone had sparklers going

we had a fun sprakler sendoff down the grand staircase before we jetted off to our honeymoon.

wedding details:

joe and i handmade all of our wedding signs; games for cocktail hour were made by the best man, the maid of honor, and the bride and groom; we purchased vintage dishes for the cocktail hour and reception; we used furniture from around our house to display the desserts, gifts, coffee/water/lemonade and ice tea bar; wine bottle twinkle light centerpieces made by joe's aunt and uncle diane and keith; rental table and chairs were provided by our caterer; and most decorations for the wedding (including centerpieces) came from our very own home. all of this made our wedding a lovely, vintage inspired budget wedding that was beautiful and intimate.

each year around our anniversary i feel nostalgic and wish we could relive that day over and over again. it was a dream wedding come true.
